Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Bibliochat mobile application ("App") operated by Bibliochat ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Description of Service
Bibliochat is an AI-powered mobile application that enables users to engage in simulated conversations with characters from the Bible. Conversations are generated using large language model technology and are intended for educational, spiritual, and entertainment purposes only. They do not represent the actual views, words, or beliefs of any real or historical person.
2. Accounts and Authentication
You may sign in to the App using Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In. By doing so, you authorise us to access certain information from your account with that provider as permitted by their terms. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and account access.
3. Freemium and Subscription Plans
Bibliochat operates on a freemium model. Certain features are available at no charge, while premium features require a paid subscription. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected). All payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice.
4. User Conduct
You agree not to: (a) use the App for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to reverse engineer or extract the App's AI models or system prompts; (c) use the App to generate content that is defamatory, offensive, or harmful; (d) misrepresent AI-generated responses as authentic statements from biblical figures in a manner intended to deceive.
5. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, and technology within the App, excluding third-party components, are the property of Bibliochat or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
All responses generated within the App are produced by artificial intelligence. They are not statements of theological fact, and should not be treated as authoritative religious guidance. We make no warranties regarding the theological accuracy of any AI-generated content.
7. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with third-party services including Anthropic (AI processing), ElevenLabs (voice synthesis), Firebase (backend infrastructure), Apple, and Google (authentication). Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bibliochat shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
